QTEC & SETSquared invite you to ‘Start Up Stories: Women’s Health Technology’  at University of Bristol where you will hear from innovative start-ups in the FemTech sector.

Femtech is a term applied to a category of software, diagnostics, products, and services that use technology often to focus on women’s health.

The Quantum Technology Enterprise Centre was funded by the Engineering and Physical Science Research Council (EPSRC) in 2016 as a skills and training hub in Quantum Systems Engineering and is a key part of the UK’s National Quantum Technology Programme. It is a world-leading pre-incubator for innovators for quantum inspired technologies.

The SETsquared Partnership is a global business incubator and Accelerator that helps startups and innovative business in the UK.

Ever wondered what the journey to creating a Health Tech business entail? Three FemTech businesses who will be sharing their stories with you followed by a panel Q&A discussing routes to funding.

emm Technology –

emm is a female-led start-up developing female-focused technologies in an ongoing mission for equality. Designing the next generation of period products with precise monitoring for female personal health; its focus is on, researching and developing solutions that people will love rather than tolerate.

Forth –

Forth is an innovative biometrics tracking platform which helps people navigate their way to better health. The aim is to provide a safe, supportive, meaningful and affordable service to help nudge people towards better health behaviours by providing them with fast and convenient access to biomarker testing, coupled with an easy-to-understand results dashboard.

Elvie –

Award-winning health and lifestyle brand developing smarter technology for women. Creating innovative women’s health products, it counts the award-winning Kegel trainer in its product portfolio. The company have recently launched their second innovation: Elvie Pump, the world’s first silent wearable breast pump, which is making it possible for new mothers to pump anytime, anywhere.
