History of Tae Bo 

A seven-time World Martial Arts Champion, Billy Blanks, created Tae Bo around 27 years ago. He began teaching classes in this new workout style in 1982 in Boston. In 1989, he moved his training centre to California, where the Tae Bo movement began to take off. Since then, Blanks has released a long series of Tae Bo workout videos and has gained fame through this program. He now tours the globe, teaching workouts to both civilian and military groups. He is also a motivational speaker and author. Billy Banks also considers Tae Bo to be an acronym for the phrase ‘Total Awareness Excellence Body Obedience’. In the 1990s, many celebrities began to incorporate this style of workout into their regular exercise routines. This led to huge popularity and a strong following of this kind of workout.

There are many mental and physical health benefits to doing Tae Bo. For instance, Tae Bo will result in greater self-confidence and overall improvements in fitness.
